Training

The amount of training a swimmer does depends on the squad they are in.

 

Regardless of squad, all swimmers are expected to:

  • Be ready to get in the water by the start time
     

  • Have the following equipment ready at poolside at the start of training: towel, goggles, swimming cap, water bottle, fins, kick board and pull buoy 

 

During training, parents are asked not to go onto the pool deck. If you want to watch your child, you are welcome to sit in the cafe or at the shallow end of the pool. If you need to speak to your child’s coach, please wait until after training has finished. 

Coaches occasionally give Performance squad swimmers (aged 14-18) an assistant coaching role to build the capacity of the club’s future coaches as well as to provide a personal development for young swimmers.
